Internet of Things Bootcamp and Hackathon Philippines

Internet of Things is the network of physical objects—devices, vehicles, buildings and other items which are embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data. Which means soon everything we have will be connected and automated.

As the Internet of Things (IoT) phenomenon becomes more and more mainstream, the Department of Science and Technology – Information and Communication Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) and Microsoft Philippines along with Egizmo Mechatronix Central will be teaching students, professionals, hardware and software enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs how to make create an IoT project quicker and easier through the IoT Bootcamp and Hackathon.
The IoT Bootcamp will be on Feb. 20,21 & 27 while the Hardware Hackathon is set on Feb. 28, 2016 both at the ASpace_Palet Express, Chino Roces Makati from 9am to 6pm.
The bootcamp will focus on the power of Azure Computing Services like Event Hub, Streaming Analytics, and Web Sites, in the context of a full end-to-end IoT solution and Microcontroller Basics & Instrumentation.
The top 3 winners of IoT Hackathon will receive Cash prizes plus exciting gadgets and items from partners and supporters.
Internet of things promises to innovate customer experience by allowing objects embedded with communications technology to transfer data over a network, helping them “communicate” with each other. For example, car sensors can notify the driver if the vehicle’s condition is alarmingly dangerous; a washing machine’s status can be accessed via Wi-Fi; and your package or delivery can be tracked anywhere in the world in real time.
As a highlight, all the projects of the Hackathon will be exhibited and displayed on March 4 & 5, 2016 at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City as a part of the first IoT Summit Philippines.
The IoT Summit Philippines is organized by EConnext Ideas and Media together with Red Wizard Events Management. For more details about this event, you may call 09179048777 or 0920 9734926
Let us learn and apply the convergence of multiple technologies through Internet of Things Bootcamp and Hackathon!
